This is the first Ocean Gardener nursery and it is our most popular tour due to its accessible location in Candidasa, East Bali. It is a short drive from popular tourist hotspots like Canggu, Ubud, Seminyak or Kuta.
You will learn about corals, their importance and how we perform coral restoration work. We will then visit the coral nursery. Under the guidance of the marine biologist, you will harvest a fragment from our donor colonies, then plant your very own coral fragment in our nursery.
This site is shallow, walkable from shore during low tide so it is beginner friendly with easy snorkelling. You can see a broad variety of corals, as well as many fish species that have colonized the corals.
As the tides change daily, please consult our tide chart for the departure time on a specific date.
*The proceeds from your tour will go towards funding coral restoration with Ocean Gardener and supporting the local community through the income earned by the local guide.
