Join our intensive four-week Coral Restoration Program, where each week offers specialized training in key aspects of conservation. This course is designed for people that want to work anywhere around the world on coral reef restoration projects. It provides you with critical knowledge to maximize the success of your projects based on our 25 years of experience raising corals, so you can contribute to marine conservation and make a difference!
This is a complete professional training course with in depth class sessions, followed by practical sessions underwater. You will gain hands-on experience, learn to identify a wide range of corals and their specific ecological niches to decide which species to use, then learn how to choose a coral restoration site properly.
You will be exposed to the various coral restoration techniques used all around the world – from small coral reef fixes to massive planting. We will then go through tools like monitoring using techniques like Rapid Reef Assessment technique to 3D Photogrammetry to maximize the survival of your coral plantings.
We also try to get international guest speakers from the coral industry, so students get some additional exposure and get to network and make some good contacts with professionals in this field through online workshops.
