Advanced Coral ID Diver

In our Advanced Coral ID course, you’ll delve deeper into the fascinating world of corals, distinguishing between 6 new genera on Small Polyps Hard Corals, 6 new genera of Large Polyps Hard Corals and 6 new genera of Soft Corals. Equipped with this new knowledge and in addition to the Intro Coral Diver teaching, you’ll be able to identify to the genus level 90% of the corals you’ll encounter on the reef, opening a new window into your underwater world. By being to identify all these coral species, you’ll be able to read the reef like no one. Reading the coral composition will give you infinite knowledge on what the conditions on this particular reef can be, what species of fish and critters you can find, and it’s thriving or struggling.

Prerequisites

SSI/PADI Open Water Diver certification
Good Buoyancy Skills

Includes

Ocean Gardener trained instructor
Diving equipment (BCD, Weights, Mask, Fins). You are welcome to use your own equipment.
Food, accommodation, and original transportation to the course location are not provided, but can be arranged.
